a modern Sanctuary for healing chronic illness
“where symptoms become messengers and their message leads to freedom.”
Anastasia is a Mind-Body Recovery Coach (Sarno × Sachs Certified) who hosts recovery telehealth sessions worldwide. Her work is rooted in the pioneering teachings of Dr. John Sarno and advanced study with Christina Sarno, Nicole Sachs, and complementary mind-body methods. Anastasia’s approach blends practical tools with depth, compassion, and humor to help clients move toward stable, lasting recovery.
Anastasia works with people experiencing chronic symptoms such as CFS, Long Covid, chronic pain, anxiety-related illness, and medically unexplained conditions who suspect a mind-body component but feel stuck in fear, confusion, or symptom cycles.
Her recovery journey spans years in the San Francisco Bay Area to time in Crete, Greece — inspiration for Anastasia’s Abaton. In this modern healing sanctuary, clients learn to understand what their symptoms are communicating and take aligned action toward healing. Having overcome decades of chronic illness herself, including CFS and Long Covid, Anastasia brings lived experience to her work and a powerful message at the heart of her practice: recovery is possible.

Improving your relationship with symptoms
Try something new
After appropriate medical tests, evaluations, supplements, diets, pacing, brain retraining and more… sometimes the next step is to approach symptoms differently.
At Anastasia’s Abaton, we learn the deeper language these symptoms speak — understanding their protective function and gently redirecting the adaptive pattern toward recovery.
Target Specific Issues
It’s not what we know or do so much as the how and why of the subconscious load we carry, and taking the curious, compassionate, appropriate inquiry and actions to begin reversing symptoms.
Through written or conversational inventory, you will be supported in identifying and addressing missed needs, wants and actions of the body in the pursuit of doing what we all need to do: survive in a wildly unpredictable world.
WORK WITH Anastasia
Through my personalized coaching, I’ll work alongside you to develop an integrated plan to achieve full body wellness—often combining the practice of simple, accessible yet progressive writing exercises as attuned to your learning and healing style with expressive tools available such as JournalSpeak™.
Creating a plan that works for you
Still have questions?
The answers below may help clarify how this work unfolds.
How do I know if this approach is right for me?
If your medical evaluations have ruled out serious structural causes and you notice symptoms worsen with stress, emotions, or life pressure, mind-body work may be worth exploring.
How soon will I see results?
While some clients notice relief after a few sessions, others experience gradual improvements over weeks or months. Consistency in applying the tools are key and openness to listening to your body’s messages.
Healing is not linear, but with aligned tools and guidance, lasting recovery is possible.
What if I don’t know my emotions?
Very common. Many of us learned early on that it wasn’t safe to feel anger, grief, or other difficult emotions.
In these cases, you are guided through JournalSpeak™, a gentle writing process allowing emotions to surface in a safe and contained way. We move on to more structured writing exercises at your pace, once emotions can be identified.
What if I already know my emotions but still have symptoms?
For clients already in touch with their emotions, we use customized written inventories.
These tools help translate what symptoms are communicating in the moment and guide you toward clear, empowering actions that allow the body to release them.
What happens in a session?
In our first session, we explore your history, symptoms, and goals. Together, we create a personalized approach and choose the tools that feel most appropriate to begin with.
In follow-up sessions, we review your writing practices, refine your approach, and support you until you feel confident using the tools independently in your recovery.
What if I’m too sick or bedbound to write?
Your recovery can still begin.
For clients who don’t have the energy to write, we simplify the same tools into a gentle conversational process. I guide you through the steps verbally until you’re ready — if and when writing becomes possible.
Is this therapy or coaching?
My work is mind-body coaching. While the process can feel therapeutic, it is not a replacement for medical care or psychotherapy.
Instead, it is a structured and supportive process that helps you identify and release the emotional patterns contributing to physical symptoms. We work primarily with what is arising in your present life rather than re-creating past events.
Cancellation Policy
Out of respect for everyone’s time, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows others the opportunity to book the available time.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
